Trey Wilson

Sixteen-year-old Trey Wilson hails from the South Texas town of Uvalde. His family’s deep ranching heritage sparked his love of traditional country music and western swing early on. From his first public performance, at the age of six when he sang Hank Williams’ “Your Cheating Heart,” Trey knew he wanted to sing country music. Influenced by the legendary George Strait and Bob Wills’ Western Swing, Trey has honed his performances at Opry shows across Texas, including the Llano, Mason, Columbus, Abilene, Giddings, Temple, Cameron and the Victoria Country Opry shows, as well as the Lone Star Jamboree in Seguin and the South Texas Country Opry in Corpus Christi.

Trey is also a regular performer at the Grapevine Opry, a premier live country music show that has become one of the pre-eminent showcases for new talent in the Southwest.
In addition to area performances, Trey has also competed and placed in local, area, and national talent contests.

In 2002, he was chosen as one of 13 entertainers selected nationally to perform for the National Association of County Agricultural Agents Convention held in Savannah, Georgia.

He was once again chosen as one of 15 performers for the 2004 NACAA Convention held in Orlando, Florida. Trey was the only Texas performer selected for this event.

In December 2004, Trey started working on his debut CD “Let’s Just Dance.” The CD is a blend of pure traditional country music, western swing and new original music. It also contains a dash of the new “Texas Music” scene.  Involved in all aspects of creating the CD, Trey has made these songs his own.

"Let's Just Dance" is getting air play on AM/FM and Internet stations throughout the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England and the Netherlands.

With the success of the “Let’s Just Dance” CD, Trey is already hard at work on his second recording project.

Whether you catch one of his performances at your local opry house, rodeo, festival or county fair, you’ll find that Trey’s stage presence shines through. Music critics have said Trey was “born to be on stage.”

Trey has had same stage performances with: Ray Price, Hank Thompson, Darrell McCall, Dottsy, “Fiddlin’ Frenchie Burke, Leona Williams, Bobby Flores, Prentiss Varnon, Noel Haggard, Matt Jenkins, Justin Trevino, Curtis Potter, Jim Raby, Ronnie Huckaby, Allison Crowson, Johnny Lee, Moe Bandy, Tony Booth, Billy Keeble, Gene Watson, Johnny Bush and more to come!
